Call for projects

Curatorial practices

Deadline: October 30, 2026, midnight

The Center Adélard invites exhibition curators from Canada and internationally to submit a project for its 2028 outdoor exhibition. This call is aimed at those wishing to develop a curatorial proposal rooted in a rural territory and explore the dissemination possibilities offered by atypical venues.

The program combines a research residency with Frelighsburg in 2027 to the presentation of a group exhibition from May to October 2028.

Outdoor exhibits

Since 2021; Adélard presents open-air group exhibitions of office furniture, at Frelighsburg and in the surrounding areas. Deployed on heritage buildings, in everyday spaces, or within natural environments, these trails connect contemporary art with landscapes, history, and local life. They invite the public to rediscover familiar places, explore lesser-known sites, and pay attention to the stories they tell.

The on-site approach occupies a central place in this program. Adélard It favors proposals whose subject matter, choice of artworks, and presentation methods are developed in dialogue with the characteristics of the sites involved: their architecture, uses, history, or social and ecological dimensions. The artworks thus become points of convergence between artistic research, a territory, and the people who inhabit it.
