This program is for artists who:

  • have an artistic practice in the field of visual arts

  • study or have studied in the field of visual arts at the college or university level

The artist residency

Lasting from four to six weeks, they take place between the beginning of November 2026 and the end of February 2027, depending on the availability of the selected artists.

The residences include accommodation and a workspace in the heart of the village of Frelighsburg .

During the residency, artists will be able to work and focus on their artistic project. Unlike the Immersion Residencies at the barn, these residencies are not open to the public. However, meetings and creative workshops will be organized to foster opportunities for exchange with the local community.

The mentorship program

During the residency period, the artists will be supported by art world professionals. This includes three advisory sessions with the artistic director, meetings with members of the artistic committee, and a feedback session during the final project exhibition.

The end-of-residency exhibition

A final residency exhibition will take place in March 2027. Several public activities such as guided tours and public creative workshops related to the exhibition will be organized.
