Call for Projects

Émergences

Application deadline: September 7, 2026

Adélard is pleased to launch a new program designed to support the artistic initiatives of emerging artists pursuing professional careers. The program offers a first artist residency, a mentorship program, and a final exhibition.

This program is open to artists who :

  • Are 30 years old or younger in 2026

  • Have an artistic practice in the visual arts

  • Are studying or have studied visual arts at the college or university level

Artist Residency

Lasting four to six weeks, the residencies will take place between early November 2026 and late February 2027, depending on the availability of the selected artists.

Residencies include accommodations and a workspace in the heart of the village of Frelighsburg.

During the residency, artists will be able to work and focus on their artistic project. Unlike the Immersions at the Barn residencies, these residencies are not open to the public. However, meetings and creative workshops will be organized to encourage exchanges with the local community.

Mentorship Program

During the residency period, artists will receive guidance from arts professionals. This includes three advisory sessions with the artistic director, meetings with members of the artistic committee, and a feedback session during the final exhibition.

End-of-Residency Exhibition

An end-of-residency exhibition will take place in March 2027. Several public activities, including guided tours and public creative workshops related to the exhibition, will be organized.
