A record-breaking $90,000 evening to support the mission of Adélard and a great collective dream at the heart of Frelighsburg
170 people gathered to support the artistic and educational mission of Adélard and the announcement of an ambitious project to bring art and the community even closer together.
Frelighsburg , October 27, 2026 – Adélard gathered 170 people at Frelighsburg On Saturday, during its annual fundraising evening, orchestrated by chef Charles-Antoine Crête, the event raised $90,000, a record result that exceeded both the target set and the amounts raised in previous years.
These funds will allow Adélard to continue its mission: bringing artists and citizens closer together, in concrete terms, they will mainly finance artist residencies and creative workshops offered free of charge in schools throughout the year.
Organised under the honorary chairmanship of Lucie Bouthillette, with the support of a committed honorary committee, this evening brought together businessmen, artists, philanthropists and community members around a common conviction: art contributes to enriching our living environments and strengthening the bonds that unite us.
Adélard wishes to warmly thank Lucie Bouthillette, the members of the honorary committee, the organizing committee, as well as all the donors, partners, volunteers and guests who made this evening exceptional.
A grand collective dream at the heart of Frelighsburg
Beyond the success of this evening; Adélard took the opportunity to share news that marks an important turning point for the sustainability of the organization: thanks to the exceptional donation of a historic building by Laure Waridel and Bruce Johnston; Adélard will be able to count on a new permanent location in the heart of Frelighsburg .
A space where artists can create and share their work, where young people can discover, learn and experiment, and where citizens can come together around art, culture and creativity. A place that we envision as open, vibrant and inclusive.
More than just a new place for Adélard "It's a project for an entire community, a project that aims to breathe new life into a historic building and contribute, through art, to the dynamism and influence of Frelighsburg .
“We dream of a place where people create, exhibit, learn, but above all, where they meet. A place the entire community can be proud of. A space that will have a real impact on artists, young people, and citizens. To make this dream a reality, we will need all the energy, all the ideas, and all the commitment. Because,” Adélard "It is above all a collective movement, driven by people who believe in the unifying and transformative power of art," emphasizes Sébastien Barangé, co-founder and president of Adélard .
To bring this ambition to life; Adélard commits to mobilizing a funding committee that will support the next stages of the project and help to bring together the partners and resources needed for its completion.
