Schools in Residence 2025
The School in Residence project is carried out through partnerships with several elementary schools in Brome-Missisquoi. It offers the opportunity to develop an artistic project with young people over a six-week period through a series of workshops offered to all grade levels within the same school. We aim to foster several learning experiences: cooperation, the step-by-step completion of a project, and an introduction to more complex creative techniques. During a School in Residence , the artist's role is to develop a series of creative activities so that each student, regardless of their grade level, can contribute to a collective whole. An exhibition concludes this month of creation, allowing students to share their work with their families.
Saint Francis of Assisi School of Frelighsburg;
with Michel Viala and Sara Mills
Students from Saint-François-d'Assise School will explore various ceramic techniques with the founding artists of Poterie Pluriel Singulier. The students are invited to discover a variety of shaping and decorating techniques to create a collection of ceramic pieces. These works will be exhibited at the Frelighsburg Grammar School on Thursday, April 17.
LA CLÉ DES CHAMPS SCHOOL IN DUNHAM
with Amélie Bélanger
In collaboration with Amélie Bélanger, an artist participating in Adélard's upcoming outdoor exhibition, the students are designing an imaginary forest floor using recycled materials, including paper clay. The collaborative artwork will be on display throughout the summer season in the barn as part of the exhibition "D'une poignée de terre, in a handful of soil" .
The School in Residence program is made possible thanks to the generous support of Project Casa.
