EXHIBITION FROM MARCH 21 TO MAY 22, 2025

Marcela Armas

Holobiont Mirrors

Following an artist residency at Adélard in Frelighsburg in the summer of 2024, the Mexican Cultural Institute in Montreal / Espacio Mexico presents, as part of the Underground Art Festival, an exhibition by Marcela Armas entitled Mirrors of the Holobiont . The artist presents maps that interpret the personal histories of some of Frelighsburg's residents. Each map evokes the individual's relationship with the land, their biography, their emotions, and the space they inhabit.

Mirrors of the Holobiont aims to establish a complementary link between iridology and soil chromatography, two analytical methodologies that support health diagnostic processes through the observation of the human iris and terrestrial soils.
